Welcome to New Prague Youth Hockey. We're here to answer any questions you might have about the sport and help you get started with a program that's right for your child.
New to NPHA during the 23-24 season, we are now offering equipment rental for all 1st year players. Rental includes all basic gear needed to play. Mouth guard, jock/jill, skate guards, and neck guard are the responsibility of the family. Equipment hand out is in Oct. and equipment turn in is in April.
For any questions please contact our equipment coordinator.

It is never too late to start your child in hockey, but an earlier than later start is recommended. Previous skating experience is helpful, but is not required. The upper levels (Squirts, PeeWees & Bantams) do have a "tryout". The goal of these tryouts is to place your skater on a team of skaters with similar abilities, allowing them to play with kids that are at a relatively same level of play. Mites will go through an evaluation to ensure skaters are grouped with like-skaters. Click below to learn more.
The hockey season runs approximately from about October until early March. Our younger teams will start a bit later and we do our best to schedule "age appropriate" practice times. All teams are divided by their age level.
