2024-25 Registration

NPHA will plan to have the 2024-25 registration ready to launch this summer (usually in late July or early August). There is much planning that needs to be finalized before registration is ready, but we do our best to get the registration launched as early as possible.

The earlier folks can register, the longer the payment plan option can be extended and thereby reduce the monthly payment installations, making paying for hockey more affordable for families. With that said, if your family is in need of financial help, please see the section at the bottom of this page with information on our Hardship Assistance program.

Fees for 2024-25 are not yet known at this time, the Board will need to review the financial health of the association and finalize the budget in the summer months before fees can be determined. Once that information is known, we will post it here.

Check back for registration updates. Any urgent questions can be directed to Miranda Vertnik, NPHA Registrar, at secretaryregistrar.npha@gmail.com.

2023-24 NPHA Player Registration

Please use this link to access our registration site.

To avoid a late fee, the registration deadline for all returning players is September 1st for ALL levels, including returning Mites.  Players registered after Sept 1st will incur a $50 late fee (unless they are new to the New Prague Hockey Association or playing at the Junior Gold level).

If your Upper-Level player (those ages SQ/10U and older) wishes to participate in tryouts, their registration must be received by Saturday, September 23rd. All upper-level players who register after this deadline will be placed on the C team for their level of play.

2023-24 Levels of Play by Age

2023-24 Fees

Skater Fees by Team's Level of Play:

  • Level 1 Mites ($250.00) **First year Level 1--FREE**
  • Level 2 Mites ($325.00)
  • Level 3/4 Mites ($400.00)
  • Squirts/Girls 10U ($915.00)....includes game day jerseys & third tournament fee
  • Peewees/Girls 12U ($955.00)....includes game day jerseys & third tournament fee
  • Bantams ($1,085.00)....includes game day jerseys & third tournament fee
  • Junior Gold ($1,195.00)....includes game day jerseys, third tournament fee, & Head Coach fee

Additional Fees:

  • Game Day Jerseys ($60 for a single jersey, either home or away, $120 for a jersey set, both home and away jerseys) *This season (2023-24) NPHA has decided to switch jersey brands as our K1 jerseys were set for a large price increase. In the past seasons new jerseys have been required for all NEW Squirt/10U players, and were optional for other upper-level players, However, because we are moving to a new jersey style and design, purchase of a new jersey set is REQUIRED for ALL upper-level players this season. Families should have attended our jersey fitting events in July and placed their jersey order with Westwood - payment was not required at that time but is required at the time of registration. Because all upper-level players are expected to purchase a new set of jerseys this season, we have rolled the cost of jerseys into the skater fee for each level for this year only. This will help reduce the amount of processing fees that the consumer is assessed by SportsEngine during registration. This will be a separate store item in next year’s registration since jerseys will be optional for those upper-level players who haven’t outgrown their existing jerseys.
  • Tournament Fee ($110) for all upper-level players only *** This fee has increased $30 from previous seasons due to increased costs for tournaments. Beginning 2023-24, members will see that this fee will NOT be a separate line item at registration – instead we are rolling this fee into the skater fee for our upper-level players. This will help reduce the amount of processing fees that the consumer is assessed by SportsEngine during registration.
  • Tryout Fee ($75) for upper-level players only (this fee is optional, if a player opts out of tryouts they will automatically be placed on the C level team).
  • NPACC User Fee ($50) one fee assessed per family each year, thru 10-years of membership with the association. This fee is paid at registration, but NPHA then pays the NPACC these fees. If you are unsure whether your family has exceeded the 10-year mark, reach out to our Secretary/Registrar and she will verify.
  • Non-Parent Coach Fee ($150 for a Head Coach and $50/Assistant Coach assigned to your team). Non-Parent coaches are paid a stipend from the association (based on experience and qualifications) that covers their time on/off the ice, during practices, games, team meetings, etc. A portion of this stipend will be funded by players on these teams. Families will be assessed this fee after teams have been established. This fee must be paid before December 1st. **Junior Gold will not be assessed a separate fee of $150 for the Head Coach as that fee has already been worked into the skater fee. They will however be assessed any applicable Assistant Coach fees.
  • DIBS Buyout ($550) In order to keep our skater fees as low as possible, NPHA families are required to complete 22 hours of volunteer work for the association. However, all families have the option to buyout their volunteer hours instead if they do not wish to complete a full 22 hours. This optional fee equates to a rate of $25 per hour - please note that any families who commit to complete their DIBS hours but fail to complete the required 22 hours will be assessed a fee of $50 per incomplete hour at the end of the season
  • Combination Fundraiser Buyout ($350 for single player families or $450 for multiplayer families) To help reduce the cost of skater fees, families are given the option to participate in the Combination Fundraiser (sales of wreaths, pizzas, cookie dough, etc.). If you do not wish to participate in the Combination Fundraiser, you have the option to buyout of this requirement. Families who are brand new to NPHA will not be required to participate in this fundraiser for their first year - this exception only applies to completely new families, if you have an existing player in the association, you still need to participate in this fundraiser or select the buyout option.
  • Raffle Calendar Fundraiser ($300 per family, except for families who ONLY have a brand-new Mite/8U player this season – for those families the fee is $100) this fee is required for ALL families, but families can earn this money back by selling the raffle calendars to their family, friends, etc. Any monies earned through the sale of each calendar ($20 per calendar) is to be kept by the player’s family.
